Depthpass / Displacement from Focus Stacks

Hello Neil!
It seems that you managed to implement “Normal Map from Photos” function I requested a while back! Thank you!
Are you capable to add a stacking function in order to get a Zdepthpass that one could use as displacement?

  • This is an interesting idea. I am currently developing SM4 and one of the new features is that map nodes can contain stacks of images. The map plugins can get access to each of the stack images to create a composite.

    If you happen to have a couple of focus stack sets or know of where I could gain access to some (I don't have that feature on my camera) I would appreciate the help.

    I am not sure of the exact method to extract a depth map from the focus stack but I can experiment.

  • For others who are new this is a simple verion of focus stacking. If you are a musician it is a lil like Dubing (not to be confused with Dubstep).
