will be possible in future release load the image from clipboard?
Thanks in advance
I have looked into this in the past. I believe that the Windows OS traditional only stores copied bitmap images as 8 bit without the alpha channel. Of course each application can copy and store images to the clipboard in a variety of ways. See the answer on this page for a more detailed explanation of writing and reading bitmaps from the clipboard:
In short there are so many limitations in place (only 8 bit no 16/32 bit copy/paste) and a variety of inconsistent implementations across applications that copy to the clipboard that I have decided not to add this feature. It would be nice if there was a standard for saving image data to the clipboard which included multiple channels of varying sizes.
That all being said, I'll add it to the list and take another look at this. Are you trying to copy pixels from a paint/edit application or simply copying an image file from a directory?
I'm composing a kit texture for a game, i've cutted some images or regions and when i need add the specular, AO bump..., of a section i need make a new image with a selection, save, make the maps and load each image, and fix in his position
sorry for my english
I've use this feature in crazybump for example
