Skin Maps for Skin Shader PBR

Hello,

Is it possible for ShaderMap to automatically create the required maps for Skin shader, following the SkyShop tutorial?

http://www.marmoset.co/skyshop/learn/skin-tut

Maps:
  • Specular map with gloss in the alpha channel  ( ? )
  • Normal map  ( ok )
  • Diffuse map  ( ok )
  • Subdermis Map (RGB)  ( ? )
  • Skin Mask (A)   ( ? )
  • Translucency Map (RGB)  ( ? )

  • Specular Maps can be generated from a diffuse or displacement map.

Gloss Maps are not automatically generated as any system cannot predict which areas you would like to be glossy or not on a surface. This is similar to the Skin Mask. It is difficult for a system to predict where you would apply a mask to a surface.

I am looking into generating Sub Dermis Maps and this may be added later.

Translucency Maps, both alpha and RBG, are being worked on at the moment and will probably be added to version 3.1 later this year.

Note: If you are aware of any workflow that is used to generate maps using PhotoShop I can try to automate at least some of the steps with a ShaderMap plugin so just let me know.

    Thanks for your questions,
    Neil
